Privacy policy
This policy covers this website. The forum, knowledge base and donation platform have their own, linked below.
What this website collects
Nothing that identifies you. This site is a set of static files. There are no accounts, no comments, no contact form, no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. We do not set cookies.
The only thing stored on your device is your light or dark theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. It never leaves your browser and we never see it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Our web server keeps standard request logs, which include IP addresses. We make a good faith effort to retain those for no more than 90 days, and they are used only to keep the site running and secure.
Services with their own policies
- The forum. Accounts, posts and everything around them are covered by the forum's own privacy policy.
- Donations. Handled by Open Collective, with Open Collective Europe ASBL as fiscal host. Their terms of service apply to anything you send them; we never receive your payment details.
- Download mirrors. The ISO is served by mirrors run by other organisations. Following a download link takes you to their server, under their own logging and privacy practices.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages may link to content elsewhere — videos, images or articles. Following such a link behaves exactly as visiting that website directly does, and those sites may collect data about you under their own terms.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, trade or rent personal information, because we do not collect any here.
Free software
EndeavourOS develops free software. Our tools are and always will be free software. EndeavourOS has been part of the Open Invention Network since July 2019. To check the licence of any package on your own system, ask pacman, or look in /usr/share/licenses/.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, the date below changes. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
